The last book in Maggie Stiefvater's 'Wolves of Mercy Falls' trilogy (SHIVER / LINGER / FOREVER) is out in July, and she's running a contest over at her blog with some pretty awesome prizes, including the posibility of reading FOREVER early. Feel free to go ahead and enter yourself into it as well if you like :)
This is the book trailer that she's made, featuring music by Jonas and Plunkett, which is available for download here.

You can pre-order the book from here, or obviously on Amazon and all the usual places. If you haven't read the first two yet, I'd highly recommend them!
So after a disgustingly long time, I finally got around to writing a fic for The Darling Rebels by Siobhan Nichols.
It's un-beta'd and I wrote it at 4 in the morning one day while I was on holiday, so I make no promises as to its quality.

In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other. Now, in Linger, they must fight to be together. For Grace, this means defying her parents and keeping a very dangerous secret about her own well-being. For Sam, this means grappling with his werewolf past . . . and figuring out a way to survive into the future. Add into the mix a new wolf named Cole, whose own past has the potential to destroy the whole pack. And Isabelle, who already lost her brother to the wolves . . . and is nonetheless drawn to Cole.At turns harrowing and euphoric, Linger is a spellbinding love story that explores both sides of love -- the light and the dark, the warm and the cold -- in a way you will never forget.
Comes out in stores everywhere July 20th. Pre-order here.
Enter to win an advanced review copies of LINGER, Sisters Red, The Dead-Tossed Waves, and The Replacement on Maggie's blog.

I have absolutely no idea if any of you have read the first two books in Lisa McMann's Wake/Fade/Gone trilogy. I read Wake last year and then Fade when it came out earlier this year, and I'm now eagerly awaiting Gone. If you haven't read them, you should; they are amazing! Basically they're about a girl called Janie who gets sucked into peoples' dreams if they fall asleep in whatever room she's in. I don't really know that I can say much more without spoiling things (and I hate to do that) but I will say OMG CABEL. Dude is awesome.
The real reason for this post though, is because Lisa mentioned on her blog that if people put this widget on their site (and I have no idea if LJ counts, but I sure hope it does) that she'd enter them into a competition to win an ARC of Gone. So I'm going to put it here:
On another book-related note, I have bought 12 books since I've been in the USA. And have yet to read a single one of them because I'm still reading and making notes on the ones I'm doing in English this year.

So it would seem like all I've been posting recently is R/K icons. But I've just been making so many of them! I swear, it's not my fault. This time: COMIC CON! (They're not my best, but I'm blaming that on the photo resolution; they aren't HQ.)
( 32 icons (I think) under here )
These are ones I made as potential entries into Hayley's (
( Under here :) )
I was inspired by all the outtakes we've just had from Dossier and Rolling Stone. And there were just SO MANY photos, that I ended up with 43 icons. Yes, I am being serious.
Extra icon, because 43 does not divide by anything and I want my icons to look neat and tidy:
